There are Pasadena Public Library locations that host collection containers for both household batteries and CFL bulbs. They are collected regularly by Pasadena Public Works for safe recycling.

Currently (February 7, 2025) you can find drop-off boxes for these items at all locations, except for Villa Parke Community Center Branch Library, and Central Library, while it is closed for earthquake retrofit, so you can currently find a box for collection of these items at:

  • Allendale Branch • 1130 S Marengo Ave • Pasadena 91106
  • Hastings Branch • 3325 E Orange Grove Blvd • Pasadena 91107
  • Hill Avenue Branch • 55 S Hill Ave • Pasadena 91106
  • Jefferson Branch Children and Teen Services • 1500 E Villa St • Pasadena 91106
  • La Pintoresca Branch • 1355 N Raymond Ave • Pasadena 91103
  • Lamanda Park Branch • 140 S Altadena Dr • Pasadena 91107
  • Linda Vista Branch • 1281 Bryant St • Pasadena 91103
  • San Rafael Branch • 1240 Nithsdale Rd • Pasadena 91105
