Q. Can I put a request/hold on a book that has just been published and is not listed in the catalog?

If a book does not show up in our Library Catalog database, we are unable to place a request or hold on the book. You can make a suggestion for purchase on the following webpage:

Unfortunately, due to the number of purchase suggestions we receive, we cannot notify you when items are not selected for purchase. THIS IS NOT A RESERVE FORM. You may reserve the book after it has been ordered, by placing a hold in the Library Catalog.

It usually takes two to three weeks for the decision to be made. Keep in mind that upcoming books are available for us to order about two months in advance of publication release. You will see the titles in the catalog at that time.
